rižoto od liganja punpijat

Sastojci:

70 dag calamary

onion, garlic

20 dag rice

40 dag peeled tomatoes

1 dl olive oil

3 dl white wine

salt, pepper and parsley

Priprema:

The procedure is a classic one- chop onion and easily stirr it on oil.

Cut the calamaries on slices and add it to the softened onion in a heated bowl. All together stirr it constantly.

Pour in the wine and add chopped garlic and peeled tomatoes.

Pour 0,5 L of water into the mixture and when it is all cooked add rice.

Season it with salt and pepper and at the very end with a bit of olive oil..

Before serving it let it rest for a few minutes while adding some parsley.

Recipe for the meal has been published in a new cookbook for the tough times „Pun pjat malo šoldi“ , by the Croatian publisher house Adamić in a collaboration with our portal Gastronomika.

In a cookbook there have been named prices for every meal so for risotto with calamary for 4 persons the price would be around 50 kunas( 7 euros).

In fact , calamaries for the Adriatic sea can ometimes reach the price of 100 kunas so they they have not been used in this recipe of a cookbook for hard times.

Also during the season try to use fresh tomatoes instead of conserved ones.
